Hey Guys What's Up

So sounds like everybody had a fun, busy week. which is good to hear. Glad everyone is getting to the lake. This week was a good week things are kind of picking up as far as the work goes. Things kind of went down hill for a while (basically our Investigators that didn't progress and only just wanted money) but now we have a couple who seem genuinely interested I think. Basically the best one is Mariana she is the girlfriend of a member. We were contacting close to the members house and we contacted her and I was felt that instead of just teaching the lessons we should teach based on her needs and so instead of teaching her solid lessons I have been trying to focus on what she needs and help her find her answers there. For example we have been teaching out of the Book of Mormon now for like 2 or 3 visits and we still haven't explained how we have it or anything. I told her, this book will bless you more than you know then we just started sharing scriptures in it. By doing this I am hoping that she will be developing a testimony and doing things because she wants to rather than just doing things cause we tell her too.

Well this week we did practically an entire days worth of service at Burgers it was sweet cause we were laying/setting stone it made me think of home, and all the times setting stone out there on the wall in our yard. They didn't have a stone cutter of course, but rather it was concrete made out of dirt and mixed by hand. Ok no big deal but what I am trying to say is, it was very third world country concrete. So It was a little different but I was able to show them a nicer way to grout though it was a little different to them so I don't know if they liked it. I showed them how to go back and detail the cracks and wire brush the cracks. It looked way better. They just left the mud all slopped on there but I think they like it better slopped on there way better for some reason but whatever- what can they expect from "missionary labor"!!

The work is moving here and I am grateful to be blessed with so much. Oh I almost forgot today we played basketball we found a court and someone had a basketball so we got to play. So nice to play something other than soccer. But I was first out on the court and I shot a couple baskets when all of a sudden I felt these stings all over my body. It was wasps! Since nobody plays basketball here the wasps built a nest on one of the basketball hoops. They were mad and stung me on the neck, ears, and hands. It hurt super bad and I started yelling and running. Everybody was like what's going on it can't hurt that bad. Then another Elder got stung and my companion got stung too. That is when they understood why I was yelling and running around. We decided half court basket ball sounded much safer and ended up playing on the other hoop which luckily was not infected with wasps. They still kinda sting but not too bad so don't worry about me I'm not allergic. Now just my knee is kinda sore from playing but but all is well all is well.

I love you guys I hope you all have a great week and are enjoying the summer. I want you all to know that I am so glad to be serving a mission it is a wonderful opportunity that I am so glad that we have. Have a great week everybody.

OK for the pictures this week:

1 there are 2 of us in our zone that are true men and can grow beards and there is always a little unsaid competition as to who has the better beard for the week and well let's just say I won big time ha ha. Yes that means I am the manliest in our zone right!?!?

2 this is me being a working man and mixing concrete.

3 this is me carving my name into the concrete at Burgers house leaving my "mark" - ya know.

4 As promised here is the awesome organist! Cool Huh. Not quite as cool as wake-boarding or night golfing but cool in missionary terms

5 We are again teaching some of the fire fighters and so here is a picture of me in front of the fire truck.

6 Then here is the four of us. My companion Elder Hatfield (Mesa AZ ) and then Elder Hammer (Seattle Washington)

7 I received a letter this week from someone asking why I don't use my hat anymore well this one goes out to you.

Love you guys all so much have a great week

Love Elder Morgan

I couldn't get the pictures to upload, so you'll just have to use your imagination! ~Kat
