The sun is shining and I LOVE it. The " snow storm of the century" did not come like it was predicted by the farmers almanac, praise the Lord.
This pass week was just a liiiittle bit slow for Sister Stevens and I...but that is ok! It's a NEW week now! :)
We went on exchanges...so Hermana Morelos came here to Odessa and she wanted to meet Sheila so I take her over there and Sheila was making me laugh sooo hard. She was telling her "conversion" story and was like "I use to be white trash! Now I'm white glowing goodness! I like that people from the ward go up and speak. The churches I've been to in the past have a man with too much hairspray up there lecturing me" She is doing so amazing. I love Sheila! I am sure her daughter Lauren will be baptized here soon. Lauren is soaking everything in and reads everything we give her and more.
Elder Kevin Pearson (seventy) came and spoke to us this past week....I felt REBUKED but I now see what I need to change in myself. He said something that really stuck with me and that is, "We cannot break commandments...God's commandments will always be, we can only break ourselves if we choose to disobey"
Ray and Carolyn came to church yesterday! Ray had arthritis in his back so he has not been feeling well the past two weeks but they came anyways and stayed for all 3 hrs. :) They were even singing the hymns! I guess Ray stood up and made a comment in Elders Quorum and said, "I would like to make a comment even though I'm not a member of your church yet "
We were able to see Jessica again. She is the 13 yr old from Kansas City living with her Aunt in Oak Grove. She is adorable and getting baptized April 9th!! :)
Life is good, isn't it? We really do make the day what we want it to be.
