I stayed here in Great Bend and Sister Hafen is finishing her mission at the VC in Independence. My new companion is Sister Avauli (AH-VA-OO-LEE). She is from Samoa like Sister Vaiaoga is. This is her last transfer, so Feb 17th she will be flying home. And I will probably still be here in Great Bend hahaha. Sister Avauli just came from Lawrence with Sister Robinson. She updated me and Brian's baptism went through and he was baptized Jan 1!! Obie and Arie got married by Bishop Steimle and came to church!
This last week we found 2 new people and set appointments for this week. Also a girl from TN called our Bishop and told him to send us to her boyfriend Chris. We called him and he was really nice. He's 16 and just moved here. His girlfriend has been teaching him all about what we believe. I invited him to church and he said he would be there. So I texted him the address to the church and he came! He showed up in a white shirt and tie too. This guy is awesome. We were teaching gospel principles and Sister Avauli stopped and asked if anyone was confused and he goes, "No I already know all this". I'm really excited to start teaching him soo now we are praying our little hearts out that his Grandma will let him learn.
Debbie is going through some things right now so we went had "Stick-noted" her door and tape Hershey Kisses all over it. Hopefully we will see her this week.
The feeling in church was the most enthusiastic since I've been here and more people are over their colds and the flu now so more were at church too. It was nice.
This week we have around 14 appointments set up, so it's going to be a good week. Hopefully they will all work out! :)
It started snowing a lot yesterday evening and hasn't quit. A lot of nice powder and no mountain to do anything with it. What a shame.
