Hey everybody so hows life going? Today was a good P day we went into Asuncion and I spent too much money!!. We went into a grocery store that has 2 aisles of American food and I’ll tell you what I probably appeared like someone that was special ed -- I just got a big smile on my face and was like oh wow! oh wow! oh wow! I ended up buying ranch dressing, taco seasoning, tortillas ( so excited for those) Oreos, Salsa, Tortilla Chips, black beans, rice, boneless skinless chicken breast (impóssibñe to find here) , ground beef, and zesty Italian seasoning to marinade the chicken. I was super excited now I just really hope I don’t get transferred tomorrow - I didn’t really think that one out very well. But I am going to be cooking some good food this week! Then we went to TGI Fridays, it’s always super nice to eat American food. So Sunday was pretty crazy here because 1) Paraguay was playing in the world cup 2) it was fathers day 3) it was raining and these are the worst conditions to have on a Sunday. Seriously I was sitting waiting for the bus on Sunday morning after our investigators said that they didn’t want to go because of these 3 reasons above, so we were sitting waiting for the bus to pass by and I was thinking about a story Brian always told about how one Sunday at Sacrament Meeting it was only him and his companion, so they split the bread in two and had Sacrament just the two of them. I was thinking well there is a really good chance that is going to happen to me this morning. The bus was 30 minutes late but came and when we finally got to church the talks and testimonies of the speakers were about how Paraguay is going to win because we chose to go to church today.. interesting way to promise blessings but surprise, Paraguay did win! I guess they weren’t preaching false doctrine. But seriously every time Paraguay scored, fireworks went off all over the city and there just happened to be a guy with alot of fireworks right next to the church. just imagine a Sacrament Meeting completely silent then all of a sudden World War 2 outside. Very interesting Sunday.. though we had a total of 55 people in church. Actually not too bad. So Brian, I can’t complain, I still haven’t had just me and my companion in church yet luckily. Ya know thinking about it if I was a little smarter I would have been telling our investigators if you go to church this Sunday Paraguay will win for sure.. just kidding.
It’s funny Jordan Hollowell wrote me this week too. He sent me a picture of him and the rice fields. he said that he has rice every day and he is sick of it!. But he seems to be doing realy good. I say this in a non-gay way but either his shirt is too small or he's been taking more than 30 minutes to work out every morning cause he looked pretty buff. Does anyone have Keegan’s address? or heard anything about how he is doing? Kaitlin I can’t believe you’re going in on Wednesday that is so crazy! So I have some very important advice for you.. get a pen and paper and write this down ok? It’s very profound ..
In the MTC there is a salad bar that makes wraps and when Cathryn and I were in the MTC I found a very good wrap that I shared with her and now I want to share with you.
1) Flour tortilla
2) Guacomole
3) Chicken
4) Bacon
5) Ham
6) Spinach
7) Corn
8) black beans
9) tomatoes
10) Olives
11) and lastly the south western sauce!
this is really good and you’ll be surprised how often you’ll eat it ..oh and one more hint though it was really fun to have Cathryn there (we had lots of fun on our cafeteria and RC dates … right Cathryn?) I recommend not going to the MTC with a boy friend for some reason they aren’t too fond of bf gf s in the MTC together.
Ok so the first picture is of our Zone at TGI Fridays today
the second is of a Paraguayan type raccoon thing a super weird animal but kinda cool too
the third is of me in a spot in our area nothing too special just the palm trees
the fourth is of us breaking into our house last night we had to crawl up onto the balcony then pry the doors open then hammer the railing off with a stick shown in our hands to get into unlock the door. Everyone was down in the street laughing at us. But at least we know our house is very very secure.
Well I love you guys and I hope everyone had a great fathers day
Thanks for everything
Love
Elder Morgan
