Hey Guys

So the lord needs me in Caacupe for another transfer. I’m not tired of Caacupe yet. It’s a really fun area and fun zone though I think next time I’ll be ready to go some where new. This week was sweet in pretty much every way Monday because of going to Asuncion, then Tuesday the Burgers invited us over for a huge bon fire which was fun and then transfers Tueday morning. Wednesday the other 2 elders that I live with had to go to the office for Transfers. The elder from Peru left and now its 4 Americans in the house so ‘inglesh’ took over the house!! When the Elder’s came back from Asuncion I had a huge package from you guys and letters from Cathryn and Kat so I was way excited!! The package was so sweet I loved it. I don’t need another package for a while now. That night we had marinated boneless skinless chicken breast that I bought in Asuncion. I bought a Italian salad dressing in Asuncion and marinated the chicken in that and then we made a salad. and we even had the hamburger vendor below our apartment grill the chicken for us and it was seriously so good! Thursday we went hitch hiking --exploring villages outside of Caacupe and I am pretty sure we almost found the end of the world. It’s kinda funny how Cathryn and I always say in our letters that we do the exact same things during our weeks with out even knowing. And yet again this week it happened. They went exploring to a new city, Clearwater and I went out to Itawuwasu and they both turned out pretty pointless. We went so far out no one spoke Spanish so we had to pretend to speak Gurani…doesn’t work that well! And I’m pretty sure we might have been out of our area too. The only thing that is just a little different is, a guy passed by in a BMW for Cathryn and for us a guy passed by in Wagon pulled by an Ox ..Nice huh? Ok so Friday we were crossing from one neighborhood to another and I was like, ‘there has to be a faster way than going all the way down to the road then crossing, I bet we can find a cow trail or something’. So we start yet again off into the Jungle and we get to the base of this big hill that I’ve always wanted to climb. I needed to find a “bathroom” in the wilderness and really wanted to cross neighborhoods and go to Burgers and use their facilities, but my companion was like, ‘hey we’re this close let’s just climb the hill and starts busting his was through the jungle to get to the top so I followed him of course, and this baby was steep. but just as promised the lord made my burdens light and I didn’t have to go anymore. We got to the top of this steep hill as my picture will show I was dead. Then Saturday we found an investigator of Gold! Seriously she is a miracle! A lot of cool stuff about her but I don’t have time to write it all, but she has a date for baptism for the 11th of July seriously a miracle lady. Then Sunday Marta our recent convert was supposed to talk on charity and she prepared 9 pages to talk about on charity. Then Saturday night she said, “oh I can’t go cause of a political thing” bla bla bla. So I was like uh great. So I had the feeling that since her talking was my idea that President Huespe would make me talk instead so I brought my English scriptures to church and sure enough President Huespe is like where is Marta and I said, ‘Oh she isn’t coming’ then he looked at his paper and he scratched out 30 minutes for the Sacrament schedule then looked at me and wrote Elder Morgan and patted me on the back. Then we both laughed. So I talked in Sacrament, then taught priesthood too. It was funny cause I had 15 minutes to prepare my 30 minute Sacrament talk and 5 minutes to prepare the Priesthood lesson, but it all went good. I had all the old guys all riled up in priesthood meeting it was fun. I couldn’t let them fall asleep not on my watch. Then after church we went home and made tacos and it was seriously so so good. We went and watched the Mexico Argentina game at hma Elizabeth’s house. Unfortunately Mexico lost bad. Well that was my very eventful and fun week!

Oh and also Tobati the river baptism picture place if you guys remember, that was authorized to have their own meetings so now Elder Levos the piano player is gone and luckily Cathryn was a thinker and gave me a piano hymns for dummies so now next Sunday I’ll be pulling out my old piano skills which I haven’t had to use since I played for Cathyrn 3 years ago. She still loves me so they worked then and hopefully they’ll work now to help Sacrament meeting sound a little better.
