This week has been a week that truly stands out in this past transfer and honestly I feel so blessed to be a missionary to have the restored priesthood and to be able to be in the service of my fellow man. I have so much to report but here we go if it’s scattered I’m sorry. Tuesday we have these great lessons we and one member come out and go contacting with us in her neighborhood she took the afternoon off and said, “You know what? After years and years of missionaries that never worked I owe this to you and the lord.” I was like wow that’s sweet! And she came out and contacted with us. It turned out to be a great success. We found all sorts of her neighbors who were just practically waiting to be talked to. Not only did this excite us but also got her and her family really excited about the work. So then Wednesday President Madariaga and his wife came out to work with us for a little bit. One reason was I invited them and the other was cause we are leading our zone and the Assistants have been telling him about how our area is now increasing weekly in just 5 weeks. So he comes and does a couple visits with us and in one of them he and Sister Madariaga were both crying as they testified to one of our investigators, Maria, about the Plan of Salvation and then listened to her pray for the first time out loud. It was a moment I will never to forget. Then afterwards we get in their car and they lean back and say, “I’ve never seen such a spiritual investigator I don’t even remember seeing anything like this in our missions. I was like wow! Then they went on asking about where these investigators are coming from? I was able to tell them about our service goals and it just so happened to be that we were serving that morning in the bishops store house. Its great serving there I think I want to get home and serve there once a week or something. It’s so great seeing the joy that it brings when you help someone who makes 1 dollar a week at their job. The feeling is truly unexplainable.
Then on Thursday we show up at that sister’s house that went with us on Tuesday. She says, “Get in the truck. I have a family I want to visit. We go over there and visit them and they promised us that they would go next Sunday or this Sunday that’s coming up to church. So its great. We have 4 great baptisms planned for the 8th of March. First, Juan Paublo my 18 year old motocross buddy, seriously the most spiritual guy I’ve met. I think he will go on a mission. He has been sharing the gospel with his mom and we started teaching her too, and she went to church on Sunday for the first time. Second, Maria where we went with the President and we cried (probably a future Relief Society President in the next ten years), and then Edu I’ve talked about him for a while he is the rugby player and he comes from a great family has amazing potential in life and seriously I could see us meeting together in 30 years in Utah at the temple. He is truly prepared. I don’t think there is another way to say it. All of them are our March baptisms and we are visiting a bunch of references this week with members and hoping to start preparing a good number of brothers and sisters for April.
In Bella Vista the field is truly white it has been such a blessing in life and the lives of those who we teach. I feel so blessed to be one of the Elders to have reopened it. Oh yeah and on Sunday we gave an amazing blessing to a woman who was sick. Her ankle had been operated on twice already and this time her body refused the screws that the doctor had put in. Well it was bleeding oozing puss it was a slow leaky disaster! It seriously made me want to cry first seeing her. She is a less active member due to the fact that she can’t walk. I found her on Saturday when I was on a division with an Aaronic priesthood holder. So my companion and I went back on Sunday after Church and give her a blessing and the words that the Spirit put into my mind were truly amazing. I had tears running down my cheeks at the end the Sister had a completely new look of hope and joy in her face and with tears running down her cheeks she said you truly are angels here on the earth aren’t you? We she sat there and smiled at her. It was a very spiritual moment where I was grateful for the spirit in my life, for the priesthood and the great blessing it is and the great and amazing opportunity to be a representative of Jesus Christ at this time in my life. I can see that many great blessings come from being about my Heavenly Father’s business. They are truly numberless. I love you guys and thank you all for your love and support I could not do it without you. You help me to be better to keep going with excitement and love.
Thanks and have a great week.
Love, Elder Morgan
