Updates on Odessa

Dear Family,

This past week Sister Stevie and I have worked really hard. I mean really hard. We went to our ward mission leaders house and he just rebuked me (without knowing it) and pumped us up!! The next 5 months are going to be the best months of my mission. Oh and I'm pretty sure Chris Prescott got baptized in Great Bend. I'm happy for him!
I would love to end my mission here in Odessa. We'll see. The members are amazing and the Bishop is incredible.
Heavenly Father has just DROPPED people into our laps as we have worked hard to find new people. He always does that..I see it over and over. There are many people here who are close to getting baptized and I'm excited for them.
I hope those of you who are doing the 60 day challenge, are enjoying it and drawing closer to Christ. I know I have.
My MTC companion Sister Reid made the decision to go home. I wrote her a 2 1/2 page letter, which she was grateful for. Last week I had the chance to go to the VC with someone we are teaching and after they left I sat down for 15 min and talked with Sister Reid. I felt discouraged, knowing that the one person I came on a mission with was leaving. After listening to her though, I felt the Spirit testify to me that this was right...she was suppose to be going home. Tears just dripped down my face as I said goodbye to her and it still makes me tear up thinking about her being home but I thank each one of you for praying for her and ask you to include her this next week as well because she will need it. I loved that girl so much.
I know that I am not alone by any means though. I have 100s of family members/friends/ward members/missionaries who support my decision to be here serving. There is no where else I would rather be. I love being a missionary, although I am not exempt from trials, the rewards are beyond worth it. Christ is real. He lives. He loves all of us and I know from my personal spiritual experiences that He bled from every pore as He suffered in our behalf. It is only through Christ's that WE may live again with our families.
