Paraguay

Ok first off I am healthy and doing fine moms. I have fruits and vegatables and Im doing fine ha ha. I do apreciate your concern though. I just want you to know I have eaten fruit usually apples or bananas everyday this week. Then as far as vegatables go I have carrots in the fridge and I eat one a day so I am eating healthy its just different then a diet back home. Brian and Matthew can attest to that cause when you’re out working from 10:30am to 9:00pm you’re not at the house so your solid meals are usually around 10 in the morning and at 9 30 at night. Here is my grocery list I made for today. Cereal, rice cakes, bread, jam, juice (I drink a lot of juice) eggs, 14 bananas 8 apples and carrots and tomatoes then these packets of peanuts, powerade and maybe yogurt.  That’s healthy right?  Things just took a little getting used to.  We now have a fridge and so that has helped out a lot but I promise I am eating healthy.
Anyways this week went super fast.  Here is what we did, on Monday we went to Asuncion for TGI Fridays which by the way Asuncion is a mix between America Mexico and Europe. Well at least that is what I hear cause I’ve never been to Europe and Mexico only once but it’s kind of a mixed culture  just an fyi. Tuesday was Zone conference in Asuncion so we spent a lot of time on buses at the beginning of the  week. Then Wednesday was District meeting which was good then we worked Wednesday afternoon teaching, finding etc. Then Thursday was when I did a division with the Zone Leaders where we went to their house.  I stayed there and we swapped companions so I worked there for the day. Then in Mbe Uhh (pronounced “boyuuu” -  funny huh) on Friday and Saturday  was just working.  Then yesterday was church and work. Earlier today we played basketball with the Zone and stuff,  it was fun. This afternoon we are going to get food and have Spanish class.

So as far as the work goes we were supposed to have two baptisms on Thursday, but they didn’t attend church this Sunday, so bummer but we went by their homes yesterday and talked to them and set new dates for the 19th.  They seemed excited for that, so hopefully they will come through ha ha. President Wade set a goal for our mission for 384 baptisms this month.  That’s 4 baptisms per companionship. Right now I know the Lord has helped us prepare to accomplish this because we have 10 people with baptismal dates. I have faith we will accomplish that goal. Now as far the Spanish and stuff. It’s coming along but it’s still very hard to understand people. Occasionally we’ll catch someone who speaks good Spanish, like Mexican Spanish and then I can understand a lot more,  like all of it, so I’m excited to talk with Matthew and Verenice in a couple of years. Anyway, I am also learning Guarni or however ya spell it,  it’s so hard cause it’s like grunting though your throat and then at other times its very nasaly. So it’s weird but people seem to like it when we at least do the ‘hi how’s it going’ stuff in Guarani.

So as far as the pics for this week one is as Nathan and Shiari - call it a desktopper for your guys computer it was the sunrise when I was on the division with the zone leaders. And the second is me with a parrot, yes it is in a cage not near as exciting but it was on the farm of the German family who we teach Spanish to.  Their property is pretty cool they have lots of horses and stuff. I probably should have took some lessons from Grandma or Shiara cause I went to pet one of the horses and it was liking me too much. I thought it was funny. I guess there isn’t too much cowboy in me.

I got all your dear elders  and they were nice thank you. If you could send me a couple just like you guys did they don’t have to be long but they were nice to read on the way back on the bus so if ya could pop a couple to me sound good?

Thanks for all your love and support and all the emails

Love

Elder Morgan

PS if you’re going to send a package cut out pics of Jesus and tape them to the package then it’s safe for sure.
