HEY FROM ZION!

Hi Loved Ones,
I'm sorry but I didn't have time to do a recording this week. As always I am good. This week I took a couple tours, they were fine. Nothing too exciting there. Hopefully the VC will start getting busier.
Did I tell you all about Darius? I think so. Well Sister Collado and I are continuing to teach Darius about the Gospel and he is doing pretty well.  He came to the VC last week and seemed to enjoy it a lot. He was able to look at some Book of Mormon paintings and he's going into the army in 3 months so we have him the Stripling Warriors to read. He just seemed really calm and touched while he was at the VC. Breawn his sister lives with her grandma which is outside my area so we haven't been able to teach her for a couple weeks.
Maybe you don't remember Raylene, Ron, and Lucas but we were able to teach Ron again the other day outside. He has tons and tons of questions and LOVES to discuss. He's coming to the VC tonight (crossing my fingers)
Remember Ben? Well he is doing really well and came to church Sunday and even said a prayer. He is getting baptized this Saturday :)
Last night we taugh Jesus, Noe, and Antonio. When I teach, Sister Collado translates it to Spanish for them. It was a very powerful lesson and I just love those who speak spanish...their hearts are so open..lucky John. Noe is going to be baptized soon and Jesus is going to go to Church with Noe this Sunday. We taught them about the Book of Mormon and of course a ton about Christ. Jesus said, "I think it's really neat that you two are so dedicated to what you believe, I see how happy this gospel you're teaching me about, makes you and I want to feel that happiness you feel. I've worked for 10 yrs and I think..this has gotten me no where..I have a ton of "stuff" but what good is that? I feel something missing in my life and I want to fill it" Something like that...pretty cool, huh? We can get new "things" but they never bring us lasting happiness and we know that is because ONLY our Savior, Jesus Christ can fill that hole, only He can bring us lasting happiness.
It's pouring today but nice..last night it was getting humid. The best part is...NO SNOW lately!!!
Next Thursday is transfers..so we'll see if I stay in Raytown or lose Sister Collado or what. I cannot believe it's already transfers..weird.
Did I ever tell all of you I serve in the area called "Raytown" well yeah that's what it's called, you can look it up on the map if you want.
We still haven't heard where Sister Collado's father is....soo yep I guess I'll let you know about that next Tuesday if we find out.
Yes you can all send me pictures on here..I can open them up :)
I love you all very much. I hope you know how much I love Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. More than ever before I know that Jesus Christ gospel has truly been restored and that Heavenly Father's plan is real. There is life after death and families can be together forever.
I love you all. I pray for you all daily.
Love,
Sister Cathryn Powell
