We've decided that when we're wealthy, we are going to own a home in Bend and a vacation home in Jackson Hole. You're all invited to our vacation home! This place is so awesome! It's like a nicer Sisters, with the base of the mountain right there, plus great hikes, rafting, and camping during the summer, but you all know that. So anyways, we've gone camping a couple times and hope to go rafting soon.
We thought we had found a great area to camp in, but after making s'mores and going to bed, the wind seems to pick up! The first trip was fine, it was annoying that the canopy was flapping in the wind all night and waking us up though.
This last weekend we chose another spot around there, again without trees to protect our tent from the wind. This time it was awful!! Our tent would practically blow flat and POP back up like you would see in a cartoon! John had to get up three times and try various tactics to help it...nothing worked and we woke up so tired that we went home and took a nap! It was pretty funny. Before we left though, we checked out a really popular spot and now we know where to go. You can wake up and see the sunrise over the Teton mountains and it's protected by trees. Thank goodness.
By the way...ONE more month of this semester!! That's what I'm talkin' about!
