Praise the Lord I think I will "die" in Odessa

I said goodbye to my good friend Sister Stevens on Thursday. Sister Stevens is hilarious and I was so blessed to have served for 5 months of my mission with her. I am now serving here in Odessa with Sister Larson. She grew up in Colorado and then moved to Arizona. She's graduated from ASU and is such an awesome missionary already!!! I am so impressed with how prepared she is to serve a mission. She works hard and is an overall confident person. I love her already. This will be an amazing transfer, filled with many miracles.
We are continuing to prepare Lauren and Jessica for their baptisms on April 16th and then we are all going to the temple on the 22nd. I'm excited for them! That day can't come soon enough.
This last week we started teaching Amber's little sister Aly who is 9. She is really smart.Thank you for the funny emails this week..the things my nieces and nephews say are hilarious!! There is a scripture in the Book of Mormon that says even children will be given words which will confound the wise. Tyler Powell "I don't understand why they say, 'take a leak' you don't 'take a leak' you leave a leak" haha just kidding!!! He's just funny.
I really did see this last week though when we asked Aly, "How do you know God loves you?" Her response was, "Because he created me" So simple, and yet so true. Then we told her about General Conference and how she could watch it at home or at the church. Her response, "We have to go watch it at the church!! It's a prophet people!!!" We were cracking up. She is adorable, I can't wait for her to get baptized...hopefully along with her Mom. We'll see.
Sister Larson and I have found quite a few potentials the past few days so I'll let you know who's getting baptized next, soon!
There were many words in General Conference said that impressed my mind but one of which was, "The future is as bright as your faith". We live in a world of shifting values, yet we have no need to fear. We have faith in a successful future and hope through Jesus Christ who is in control. I know Christ lives! He is the Son of God, who makes the after life possible. I thought it was interesting that it was said, "We live to die and die to live again". Christ is not a silent observer. If it is to be, it is up to us. Let Him in.
