Our friends Lindsay and Skyler Pyne were going to O'ahu Hawaii because Lindsay's dad was getting re-married. We kept saying, "You are so lucky! We wish we were going!" Then John called and proposed his idea to take a spontaneous trip and join the Pyne's the day they were leaving to drive to Boise. I was very reluctant until I talked to a professor who said she would go! So...off we went!
Our flight was delayed a few hours on Saturday, so we joked that they had to hot glue the wings back on the Allegiant airplane.
We were fortunate enough to have Kayla in O'ahu who we stayed with for a couple of nights and she showed us some fun beaches and hikes. Then our remaining two nights we stayed in a bed and breakfast.
Things we did....
- Hiked "Pill Box"
- Hiked Diamond Head
- Played on Lanikai beach a lot! (Islands in the background)
- Tried Matsumoto's shaved ice
- Hung out at Waimea Beach one evening
- Got stuck in traffic way to much
- Saw "Ha Breath of Life" at the Polynesian Cultural Center
- Celebrated Colby's first birthday!
