This year we spent Thanksgiving at my sister Jaime's in Alpine, Utah. It always takes us 3 1/2 hours to get there and for once we beat the Salt Lake City traffic! That was a nice change.
We left on Tuesday after John took an exam in the testing center (he skipped classes Wednesday and my teacher didn't schedule class). I only have one class on campus this semester and the rest are online which is really nice.
On Wednesday I cooked a lot with my mom and Jaime and John had a meeting with his partner for Wisevice. Thanksgiving day I went walking with my mom and John went running with Jaime. We had to burn some calories before feasting, right??

Other days we...
- Took Christmas pictures of Matthew's family and they took pictures of our family
- Went to Temple Square and saw the lights (our first time!)
- Went black friday shopping at Smith's and Christmas shopping at Traverse Mall
- John and Colby went with my brother Steven and my dad to "Five Mile Pass" a trail that they drove a razor on
- Watched a movie
- Played the game "Ticket to Ride"
- Procrastinated doing homework
- Visited with my mission president and his wife (The Van Komen's)
- Went to Kneaders for Breakfast with Caitlin Janeway
- Watched the civil war game...sadly the Beavers lost! It was a close game though.
It was a fun Thanksgiving and I was not excited to return to class and school work! However, finals are next week and then I just have one semester left!!
On a separate note...John finished the BYU-Idaho Financial Aid app!! I am so proud of all the hours he put into it, the hard work, and for being straight forward in meetings where he could have given up. I think the students will be grateful to have it, I know I will.
