Cathryn's 25th in Island Park/Halloween

John has started quite the tradition for my birthday...last year we went to Jackson Hole and this year he surprised me with a trip to Island Park! We have become good friends with Lindsay and Skyler Pyne and Tiffany and Alex Stevens this semester who came too! John has worked with Lindsay at the financial aid office since he started there and Alex worked there last year. Plus Alex and Skyler have been best friends for years. They all live just two streets behind us. I think they were completely content with a free/short get-a-way. :)

Lindsay thought it was funny that I wanted simple "Fun-Fetti" cake for my birthday because she was planning on making some elaborate dessert. Her and Tiffany worked on the cake together and Lindsay is so awesome that she made us all the most amazing french toast in the morning (my favorite breakfast!). Yep, my friends are the best.

We had fun playing games and watching a movie. Saturday morning it had snowed a ton and we were wishing we had brought sleds and snow clothes! 

Thanks for the great birthday and memories guys! I can't believe I'm now considered in my mid-twenties. I think 25 is an exciting time in life though because we have no idea where we are moving in April for an internship or after John graduates, we just started a family this past year, and I graduate in April! Woo-hoo!

Our ward had a Halloween party so this year we decided to be fun and dress up. John was a hunter, I was a deer and Colby was a bumble bee! I made up a story to go with it...
John hunted a "dear" and was stung by a bee! We colored a red spot on his cheek for the "sting".
