HEY FAMILY!!!
Well that's right! I am BACK in Kansas! I am in Lawerence with Sister Stevens! (She is hilarious and I served with her in the VC for 2 transfers) I really love it here! It's seriously so much like Portland. I just started laughing when I was talking to President Van Komen and he was saying I was leaving Missouri again. We bike, take the bus, walk, and have a car every other week. We live with the Mitchells. I had three people who were getting baptized but hey it's okay! We have already seen miracles here.
The other day we went to find a man name "chris" An Elder talked to him and said, "this guy is so cool, i didnt get his apt # but it's worth knocking on every door to find him" so we prayed to find him, got out of the car, opened the apartment complex door and asked this man standing there is he knew a chris..he said "my brother is chris, come here" Sure enough that was the Chris!! We didn't even knock ONE door. Answers to prayers are the best!!
Oh and we cover two wards. 1st and 2nd. So we go to 6 hours of church plus meetings...so 7:45-4:00 we are at church, ha-ha-ha it's crazy!! Random thing- I lost Brady and Jordan's addresses, can someone send them to me? Thanks.
Want to know something funny? I accidently deleted all my pics from 3,4, and 5th transfers!! I just laughed and said, "nothing I can do about it so no point in being upset!"
K this is the most random letter because I only have 8 minutes but thank you all for the emails. I got SO many emails this week.
You know..I've really learned the past two weeks that everything really is in God's hands and there is really no point in getting stressed about anything. My mission has gone really really fast and I only have 9 months left. I could choose to stress because I haven't seen 50 million baptisms but there really is no point. I'm just going to keep working hard and trust the Lord to do the rest. Life is just suppose to be happy and enjoyed even in our hard times, and we all have those.
Sorry I couldn't find my cord this morning to send pics..well I didn't really have any to send anyway since they all got deleted but I'll send some next week!
I love you all and more than ever before, I know Christ lives. He cares about us and Heavenly Father watches over us. When we trust in them, we are patient and that is so essential for happiness.
Love,
Sister Powell
