So this week was a interesting week as far as the work went everyone that we have isn’t really progressing or anything but all the newer investigators we have found seem to be good. Then we find out all sorts of stuff. For example, we contacted this lady and she was like oh yeah I’ve talked to missionaries before etc. and so we were like that is awesome and started going over some stuff and we set up a return date. Well we come back and we found out her husband beat her for letting us in. I was like oh ok. I felt kinda bad. Then Saturday we had 1 lesson with member 0 others 3 with less actives, which is really bad for us. Usually we have 4 or 5 with members 4 or 5 others and 4 or 5 with less actives on Saturday, but this Saturday everyone was like “next week”. So basically we walked around all day. But it’s ok the Lord punished them Paraguay lost – just kidding. Yesterday was a good day though, we found a lady who has already been to church several times and was almost baptised but then she moved to Caacupe so last night we thought, ‘should we go home early or contact a little’ and we were like ah let’s contact a little then go home. Then we found her. Seriously so cool. A miracle for sure. We had a BBQ type thing last night we bought some beef on Saturday and marinated it and then we had the hamburger guy outside the house BBQ it up for us and it was good. Elder Ormeno bought a firework and forgot it at the apartment so we lit that off for him on the 4th and had a BBQ and fireworks pretty American right?
1 The first picture is actually a funny story. These kids were making fun of us in Gurani and I was like hey lets stop and play some soccer with them to show them were not really that weird. So we stopped and played soccer for 20 minutes and then they were like wow you guys are cool!! Soooo we gave them some pamphlets to take to their families – pretty fun!
2 Here is one eyed Harvey -- we had to get a drink after playing soccer beating up the little kids was hard work so we went to buy some pop and then one eyed Harvey strolled up and asked for a picture!!
3 I was looking at the area map one night and decided our area doesn’t have a limit line. we should see how far we can go this way. Super productive.. not… but interesting day. We ended up contacting right into the south mission…oops.
4 Well that’s about the closest I can get to swimming. Yep, me relaxing at Burgers pool.
5 Do you guys remember Brother Lopez? The guy who scares me but told me that we are welcome to come over anytime and bring our family etc. Well he still really scares me, nothing has changed. (Oh and he told me that he knows when the second coming is but that’s another story), but they invited us to a orchestra concert last night so we went. It was super fancy, the people that played were from the States so it was kind of cool. I felt like I was in the States for sure!
6 Then the last one is of our BBQ last night. How does it look?
Well, I love you guys. I love being here. I know that the Lord is taking care of all of us in His own divine and loving way.
Love you all,
Elder Morgan
